Facilities Operations Manager

Role Overview:
As the Facilities Operations Manager, you will oversee a dedicated team responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and enhancement of fire safety doors within properties managed by our organization. Your primary goal will be to ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services by operatives, focusing on achieving a 'right-first-time' approach and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Lead the management and continuous improvement of a diverse portfolio, ensuring sustainable practices and optimal value for resources utilized, including:
- Materials and equipment
- Health and safety compliance
- Service Level Agreement and contract adherence
- Fleet management
- Direct and coordinate operational resources, including personnel, vehicles, materials, and tools, to maximize efficiency and ensure readiness for both reactive and planned tasks as scheduled by the organization.
Performance Management:
Monitor and evaluate staff performance to uphold high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction. This includes:
- Setting and regularly reviewing team and individual performance targets
- Identifying and facilitating ongoing development opportunities
- Effectively addressing any performance-related issues within a suitable timeframe.
Resource Planning:
Strategically plan and manage staffing resources, as well as external contractors and suppliers, to ensure timely completion and coordination of tasks while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
Qualifications:
A trade or technical qualification, or substantial experience in one or more of the following areas: gas, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, glazing, or general maintenance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer, with a willingness to learn new technologies as required.
