Position Title: Lead Project Manager - Water Engineering

Role Overview:
In the role of Lead Project Manager, you will play a crucial part in the execution of extensive, long-term projects within the water engineering domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Oversight: Ensure successful project outcomes by managing teams, budgets, safety protocols, and timelines for assigned initiatives.
  2. Team Leadership: Cultivate and mentor team members, oversee recruitment processes, and support the professional development of junior staff.
  3. Contractual and Financial Acumen: Maintain a thorough understanding of contract stipulations and uphold commercial awareness throughout project execution.
  4. Project Coordination: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and achievement of project milestones.
  5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Guarantee that all projects adhere to relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
  6. Team Direction: Lead project teams by clarifying objectives and delineating roles and responsibilities.
  7. Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, including profit and loss statements, and contribute to financial and program evaluations.
  8. Commercial Practices: Ensure adherence to company policies regarding commercial and financial operations, develop project schedules, and coordinate resources effectively.
  9. Resource Allocation: Manage the procurement of project resources, oversee testing and commissioning processes, and facilitate training as necessary.
  10. Contract Finalization: Ensure that all contractual documentation is completed in accordance with established specifications and timelines.

Proven experience in managing civil engineering projects, particularly within the water sector, is essential. Candidates should possess experience in the water and sewage industries, hold an IOSH or SMSTS qualification, and have a valid CSCS card. A proactive communication style and a full UK driver's license are also required.
