About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Debt Analyst to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Real Estate Capital Partners team, you will be responsible for supporting the origination, underwriting, and structuring of real estate debt facilities across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on potential transactions, including reviewing financial statements, market research, and industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate real estate performance and analyze the impact of different capital structures.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, and provide analytical support for loan origination and transaction management.
  • Prepare and present high-quality reports and presentations to stakeholders, including investment committee meetings and client updates.
  • Stay up-to-date with market developments and trends, and provide insights and recommendations to the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or real estate.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex financial data and models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with financial modeling tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
