Job Title: Fostering Panel Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Social Work professional to join our team as a Fostering Panel Advisor. As a key member of our Children's Services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Fostering Panel and ensuring the well-being of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as agency panel advisor to the Fostering Panel and support Agency Decision Making Process
  • Quality assure reports presented to panels as well as non-panel annual reviews
  • Provide communication and liaison between panels and the Service
  • Ensure statutory requirements are met under Fostering Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards March 2011, The Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations 2010 and Children's Act 2004
Requirements:
  1. Social Work England Registration
  2. Experience of working in a statutory setting with children and making professional judgments that deliver improved outcomes
  3. Evidence of building effective relationships with children, families and other professionals
  4. Working knowledge of national policy and developments regarding children's social care, and policy areas that impact on children's social care
  5. Able to engage and develop effective professional relationships with other professionals and organisations for the benefit of individual children and foster carers
  6. Ability to assess children and families/foster carers holistically in relation to their need for support and/or protection from harm
  7. Experience of effective analytical reports/assessments and outcomes-focused action/care plans
