Fostering Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fostering Team Leader to join our team at Royal Greenwich Fostering Service. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and continuously improving the quality and effectiveness of our Fostering Service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of social workers and related fostering professionals to provide high-quality support to foster carers and children in care.
- Oversee assessments of prospective foster carers and ensure that they meet the necessary standards and requirements.
- Approve Annual Reviews of Foster Carers and ensure that they are up-to-date and accurate.
- Monitor and manage the financial aspects of the Fostering Service, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- Ensure that children in Private Fostering Arrangements are safeguarded and their needs are appropriately met.
- Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance that governs Children's Social Care and Fostering Services.
- Prepare thorough and timely reports, including reports for placement stability and disruption meetings, and act as a panel advisor.
- Support the development and implementation of innovative practices, such as the Mockingbird family model.
- Promote the continuous professional development of Foster Carers and ensure that they have access to relevant training and support.
- Work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders to contribute to the development and quality assurance of Fostering Service best practice.
