About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fostering Team Leader to join our team at Royal Greenwich Fostering Service. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and continuously improving the quality and effectiveness of our Fostering Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers and related fostering professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality fostering services.
  • Oversee assessments of prospective foster carers and ensure that they meet the necessary standards.
  • Approve Annual Reviews of Foster Carers and ensure that they are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Monitor and manage the financial aspects of the Fostering Service, including budgetary control.
  • Ensure that children in Private Fostering Arrangements are safeguarded and their needs are appropriately met.
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of SharePoint, word processing software, spreadsheets, and ICT systems.
  • Prepare thorough and timely reports to support the development and quality assurance of Fostering Service best practice.
  • Support the innovative Mockingbird family model and promote the continuous professional development of Foster Carers.
  • Work as part of a leadership team to contribute to the development and quality assurance of Fostering Service best practice.
