Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the management team in daily operations aligned with the strategic vision set by the board.
  2. Ensure effective execution of board directives.
  3. Regularly assess operational and financial performance, recommending necessary adjustments to the board.
  4. Collaborate with the management team to formulate and propose commercial and operational strategies.
  5. Identify and develop plans for sustainable, profitable growth while ensuring operational flexibility.
  6. Foster a workplace culture that embodies the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  7. Work with the finance manager to prepare the annual budget and provide updates on any significant changes.
  8. Define roles and responsibilities within the management team, ensuring clear delegation of authority.
  9. Develop and implement company policies in collaboration with the HR manager.
  10. Maintain awareness of market trends and growth opportunities, reporting findings to the board.
  11. Provide cohesive leadership, representing the organization to various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an entrepreneurial private business environment and collaboration with boards and shareholders.
  • Directorship experience is advantageous, with a strong understanding of governance best practices.
  • Ability to balance an entrepreneurial mindset with necessary risk management and internal controls.
  • Proven track record in developing long-term strategies for sustainable growth.
  • Experience in building operational resilience and leading teams through cultural transformations.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of the implications of business decisions.
