Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Veterinary Hydrotherapist / Physiotherapist to enhance our services at The Retreat, Canine Hydrotherapy and Rehabilitation. This role involves working flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings, to provide exceptional care for our canine clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of dogs' rehabilitation needs, considering their current health status and any prior medical history.
  • Develop and execute personalized treatment plans tailored to each dog's specific requirements.
  • Continuously evaluate and modify treatment strategies to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with dog owners to facilitate effective rehabilitation processes.
  • Engage with veterinary professionals and other complementary therapists to coordinate care.
  • Advocate for the advantages of hydrotherapy and, if qualified, physiotherapy.

Key Tasks:

  • Create and implement treatment plans that promote the health and recovery of dogs.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with pet owners and veterinary teams regarding the rehabilitation progress.
  • Address inquiries from the public and provide necessary information to pet owners, insurance representatives, and veterinary practices.
  • Build strong relationships with dog owners through a compassionate and understanding approach to care.
  • Develop educational materials and workshops to inform pet owners and veterinary practices about hydrotherapy benefits.
  • Participate in promotional activities and contribute to marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, report writing, and completion of administrative tasks.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to share knowledge.
  • Approach challenges with a proactive mindset, focusing on innovative solutions.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess a canine hydrotherapy qualification (minimum Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals) and preferably a qualification in veterinary physiotherapy.
