Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Analyst to join our UK team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the UK Centre of Excellence, working closely with the UK Project Accounting team, and providing project set-up tasks in Oracle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the UK Centre of Excellence in project set-up tasks, including setting up key members, checking contracts, and agreement set-up.
  • Review the work breakdown structure for compatibility with automatic billing.
  • Identify projects suitable for rates or time and materials automatic billing.
  • Populate the billing details required to enable automatic billing using billing information provided by the PM or the contract billing schedule.
  • Set up 'bill to addresses' at project level.
  • Involvement with AtkinsRéalis financial improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience working in the accounting or project controls function of a sizeable international company.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills; and comfortable in dealing with senior colleagues.
  • Experience in working for a consultancy business, especially an engineering consultancy, would be a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience of the following would be an advantage: JD Edwards and Oracle EBS.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise own workload.
  • Strong sense of ownership, drive, and ability to deliver results.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good team player with positive attitude.
  • Strong planning and problem-solving skills with an ability to analyse information and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recognised accounting qualification – AAT/ studying towards ACCA/CIMA.
