About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Analyst to join our Nuclear and Power team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our civil and structural engineering team, you will be responsible for spearheading advanced structural analysis work packages to underpin the design and assessment of reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of practical and cost-effective solutions for clients, utilizing advanced numerical analysis techniques and industry-standard software.
  • Liaise with clients to provide technical updates and reports, building strong relationships for longer-term business development.
  • Contribute to the development of staff and internal capabilities, mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • Monitor budgets and programmes for technical work, ensuring timely delivery of projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Advanced analysis skills, with experience in finite element analysis software (ABAQUS, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, or LUSAS).
  • Experience in nuclear and/or other safety-related industries, with a background in seismic, impact, blast, and other load cases.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation, preferably using Python.
  • Technical rigour and focus on excellence, with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience in checking, interpreting, and questioning analysis outputs using first principles.
  • Knowledge of UK, European, and American nuclear industry codes and standards.
