Job Overview:
This role is integral to the Southwark Young People Service, focusing on providing essential accommodation support and outreach assistance to young individuals aged 16 to 25 who are facing homelessness challenges. The Salvation Army is committed to delivering high-quality support services, which will undergo inspection to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Primary Duties:
As the Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering positive outcomes for our at-risk youth. You will hold operational accountability for service delivery in designated areas, ensuring that the programme aligns with both internal and external performance metrics. Collaborating closely with the Service Manager and Support Staff, your focus will be on maintaining high standards of service quality and cost efficiency. Your leadership will ensure that client engagement is maximized, prioritizing their choices and control in all aspects of service provision.

The successful applicant will possess:
- Significant managerial experience within a supported housing context.
- A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for vulnerable populations.
- Proven ability to meet both internal and contractual performance indicators.
- Strong entrepreneurial and leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- A solid understanding of the dynamics involved in supporting young people in homeless situations.
Additionally, candidates should hold an NVQ Level 4 or an equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field, or demonstrate a willingness to pursue such qualifications.
