Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Team Manager to join our Children and Young People's Service in Haringey. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and ensuring that the service provided is of the highest professional standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Manage a team of professionals to ensure that the service provided is of the highest professional standard.
  • Safeguarding: Identify urgent safeguarding referrals and ensure timely progression.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of the team and ensure that timescales are met.
  • Supervision: Provide regular, high-quality supervision to staff within agreed timescales.
  • Staff Development: Promote staff learning and development, including practice learning and post-qualifying training.
  • Partnership Working: Facilitate and direct partnership working with partners, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Service Development: Develop a service consistent with models of partnership working and enable children to stay safely at home wherever possible.
  • Collaboration: Work with managers in and across the Children and Young People's Service to ensure children receive a seamless and holistic response to their needs.
  • Business Planning: Implement the service Business Plan and manage performance against objectives, targets, and standards.
  • Leadership: Take the lead role for defined areas of service, deputise for the line manager, and ensure that all decisions are taken at an appropriate level.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of managing a team of professionals in a children and young people's service.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to monitor performance and ensure that timescales are met.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners, carers, and other professionals.
  • Knowledge of business planning and performance management.
  • Leadership and management skills.
