About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the management of inpatients, overseeing care and treatment plans and delegating responsibilities to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement service improvement initiatives, working closely with the management team to drive positive change and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of regional services, including perinatal mental health services and regional medium secure services.
  • Collaborate with community teams to develop crisis care services and improve patient flow.
  • Participate in the development of the Outline Business Case for adult acute inpatient services, working closely with the senior management team.
