About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health conditions, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in adult psychiatry, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement mental health services that meet the needs of patients and the community, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mental health policies and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with national guidelines.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals, including medical students, junior doctors, and other healthcare staff, to enhance their knowledge and skills in adult psychiatry.
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to improve mental health services and outcomes for patients.
