Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients with mental health disorders, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in adult psychiatry, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental health disorders.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and therapists, to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of mental health services, including the design and implementation of new services and programs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including GPs, social workers, and community health teams, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Be medically qualified, with a strong background in adult psychiatry.
- Have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Have a strong understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health, including legislation and policy.
