Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Support Technician to join our Cellular Pathology Department. In this role, you will play a vital part in the laboratory team, assisting Biomedical Scientists in delivering a comprehensive diagnostic Cellular Pathology service. Your responsibilities will encompass specimen reception, data management, specimen processing, equipment upkeep, and the organization of materials for referral to other laboratories, along with various general laboratory tasks. Comprehensive training will be provided for all duties.

The laboratory operates Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, and flexibility is required as you will participate in a rota within these hours. The primary location for this position is at Epsom, with the expectation of working across multiple hospital sites as needed.

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • A solid general education with proficiency in numeracy and literacy, including a strong command of spoken and written English.
