If so, we have an exciting opportunity for two lead pharmacy technicians to oversee, manage, and coordinate the operations of the dispensaries within our healthcare trust.

This role is dynamic and requires a keen attention to detail, along with outstanding customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and multidisciplinary team members. A qualification as an accredited checking pharmacy technician (ACPT) is essential.

Main Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the daily operational management of the dispensaries, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely dispensing of medications in accordance with departmental policies to meet patient and departmental needs.

Please be aware that these roles require participation in weekend shifts as part of our comprehensive service, including Bank Holidays and late duty schedules.

Qualifications

Essential

  • BTEC / NVQ Level 3 Certified Pharmacy Technician registered with GPhC
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) Certificate

Experience

Essential

  • Post-qualification experience in a hospital environment
  • Experience in supervising staff
  • Patient counseling experience

Desirable

  • Familiarity with the CMM (formerly JAC) pharmacy computer system
  • Experience in data collection for KPIs and audits
  • Involvement in dispensing/supply of clinical trials

Skills & Abilities

Essential

  • Ability to manage personal workload and that of others
  • Proficient in computer use for dispensing and inventory management
  • Capability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively

Desirable

  • Ability to adapt to and manage change
