We are in search of a qualified pharmacy technician, accredited in checking, to oversee the workflow management within our dispensary.

A full qualification as an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) is a prerequisite for this position.

Main Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Assisting in the daily management of both inpatient and outpatient prescription workloads.
  • Ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely dispensing of medications in accordance with departmental policies, while addressing the needs of patients and the pharmacy department.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • BTEC/NVQ Level 3 Certified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) Certificate.

Experience

Essential:

  • Post-qualification experience in a hospital setting.
  • Experience in supervising staff.
  • Patient counseling experience.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with the CMM pharmacy computer system.
  • Experience in data collection for key performance indicators and audits.
  • Involvement in the dispensing and supply of clinical trials.

Skills and Abilities

Essential:

  • Ability to organize personal workload and that of others.
  • Proficiency in computer systems for dispensing and inventory management.
  • Capability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

Desirable:

  • Ability to manage change within the workplace.
