About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Palliative Care Physician Leader to join our multidisciplinary team at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, holistic care to patients and their families, and contribute to the development of our palliative care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Leadership: Provide medical leadership and guidance to junior medical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our palliative care services.
  • Patient Care: Provide a medical service to patients in various settings, including inpatients, outpatients, and community settings, and participate in our medical on-call rota.
  • Education and Training: Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals, both within our organization and externally.
  • Clinical Governance: Participate in clinical governance processes to maintain high-quality services, including patient safety activities, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the development of our palliative care services, including representation at external meetings and involvement in service development within local systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. You will also need to be able to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
