About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Specialist to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our Commercial Finance team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough commercial performance reviews in collaboration with our Commercial Business Partners, providing actionable insights and recommendations to drive business improvement.
  • Collaborate with our General Managers to develop and implement segment budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with our overall business strategy.
  • Provide high-quality financial support and guidance to our business stakeholders, leveraging your commercial acumen and analytical skills to inform business decisions.
  • Present monthly results to our Segment and Commercial Team meetings, highlighting areas of concern and facilitating resolution.
  • Identify and manage key risks, both on a project and segment basis, ensuring the integrity of our business operations.
  • Act as a catalyst for change, challenging decision-making and promoting sound financial and commercial reasoning.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to negotiate, monitor, and conclude key activities, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant with 3-5 years post-qualification experience
  • Strong engagement, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude
  • High standard of interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused individual (internal or external)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to disseminate to finance and non-finance employees
  • Well-organised, ability to hit deadlines and handle large amounts of data
