About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Specialist to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our Commercial Finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business in achieving its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough commercial performance reviews in collaboration with Commercial Business Partners and provide support with monthly reporting.
- Collaborate with General Managers on setting segment budgets/forecasts and develop financial solutions to maximize the profitability of the business.
- Support the achievement of strategic objectives through strong business partnering, provision of robust management information, and application of best-in-class advisory practices.
- Provide high-quality financial support and guidance to the business based on a commercial understanding of the market, divisional objectives, growth drivers, and key success criteria.
- Present monthly results at Segment/Commercial Team meetings as appropriate, highlighting areas of concern and facilitating resolution.
- Identify and manage key risks – both on a project and Segment basis.
- Act as a catalyst for change and challenge decision-making based on sound financial and commercial reasoning.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders in the negotiation, monitoring, and conclusion of key activities.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Strong engagement, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude.
- High standard of interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused individual (internal or external).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to disseminate to finance and non-finance employees.
- Well-organized, ability to hit deadlines, and handle large amounts of data.
Education and Experience
Fully qualified accountant with 3-5 years post-qualification experience.
