Compliance and Risk Management Specialist - Banking

Our client, a prominent foreign banking institution, is seeking a Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to enhance their team. This position will report directly to the Compliance Manager and play a crucial role in supporting the department with comprehensive compliance reporting and oversight.

Key Responsibilities:


Identify and report any deficiencies in the institution's compliance policies or practices to the Compliance Manager and, if necessary, to the Head of Department.

Stay updated on regulatory changes and new directives from the FCA, PRA, and PSR, and provide guidance to the business on these developments.

Contribute to the improvement of the institution's risk-based compliance monitoring approach.
Recommend and implement updates and enhancements to policies and procedures.
Report any violations of the institution's policies, procedures, or regulatory requirements.
Assist in the preparation of compliance reports for review by Senior Management and Board Directors.
Provide additional support to the Compliance Manager as needed.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the FCA handbook and the PRA Rulebook.
Execute the institution's Regulatory Compliance monitoring program.
Assist in designing the compliance monitoring framework, generating reports, and offering recommendations.
Identify compliance risks linked to the institution's business activities and suggest mitigation strategies.
Follow up on the resolution of compliance issues arising from monitoring, with clear recommendations and timelines for remediation.

Candidate Profile:
Experience in roles such as Risk Officer, Risk & Compliance Officer, Risk & Compliance Analyst, or similar positions within a banking environment.
Background in Financial Services.
Knowledge of the FCA handbook and the PRA Rulebook.
Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
