About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk & Compliance Lawyer to join our team in London. As a Risk & Compliance Lawyer, you will play a key role in supporting our colleagues in claims handling, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting senior staff in addressing strategic and operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support colleagues in claims handling: You will work closely with our team to ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with our internal complaint procedures.
  • Liaise with stakeholders: You will communicate with various stakeholders regarding risk-related issues and provide guidance on compliance matters.
  • Assist senior staff: You will work closely with senior staff to address strategic and operational issues, providing expert advice on compliance and risk management.
  • Review regulatory queries: You will review queries relating to standards and regulations produced by various regulatory bodies, ensuring that our company is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Update policy writing procedures: You will update our policy writing procedures where necessary, ensuring that they are aligned with the latest regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues: You will work collaboratively with colleagues across different office locations to ensure that our company's risk and compliance objectives are met.

Requirements:

  • Background experience: You will have background experience in law firm regulation, complaints handling, or commercial contracts.
  • Excellent analytical skills: You will have excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and provide expert advice.
  • Excellent communication skills: You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative worker: You will be a collaborative worker, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different office locations.
