Role Overview:

In the role of IT Support Specialist, you will be tasked with delivering comprehensive IT support to end-users across all primary desktop applications and technologies.

You will collaborate closely with IT Trainers, the IT Service Delivery Manager, and the Head of IT Operations to ensure seamless IT service delivery.

This position primarily involves 1st and 2nd line support, with occasional engagement in 3rd line issues. Proficiency in Citrix environments is crucial for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive IT support to end-users on all essential desktop applications and technologies.
  • Collaborate and provide feedback to IT Trainers, the IT Service Delivery Manager, and the Head of IT Operations.
  • Address 1st and 2nd line support queries, and occasionally assist with 3rd line issues.
  • Conduct and document findings from weekly IT assessments.
  • Contribute to transformational projects utilizing Microsoft Azure and M365 platforms.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, laptops, printers, scanners, and meeting room technology.
  • Engage in IT projects, providing technical insights and leadership as needed.
  • Manage IT equipment loans, ensuring timely returns.
  • Maintain IT facilities and ensure all procedures and audits are completed and recorded.
  • Propose enhancements and innovative solutions to the team.
  • Accurately document problem descriptions and resolutions in the ITSM system.
  • Escalate issues to fellow IT Support Specialists, the IT Service Delivery Manager, or the Head of IT Operations when necessary.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours support rota as required (post-probation).

Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of 18 months of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of Microsoft solutions, including Active Directory, Exchange Online Mailbox management, Microsoft 365 applications, and NTFS share permissions.
  • Extensive experience in supporting users within Citrix environments is essential.
  • Familiarity with the following technologies: Citrix DaaS
