We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Study Skills Specialist to join our team at Specialist Academic Support. As a Study Skills Specialist, you will work with students who have a Specific Learning Difference (SpLD) or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to provide academic strategies and support to develop their study skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized study plans to support students with SpLD or ASC
  • Provide one-to-one support to students to develop their study skills, including acquiring, recalling, and retaining information in written and spoken language
  • Collaborate with students to identify and develop strategies to improve memory, organization, attention, and numeracy skills
  • Work with students to develop a growth mindset and build confidence in their academic abilities
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educators to ensure seamless support and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, psychology, special education)
  • Accreditation from a recognized organization (e.g., PATOSS, Dyslexia Guild, BDA, ADSHE)
  • Proven experience working with students with SpLD or ASC
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
