Healthcare Central London Ltd (HCL) is a GP Federation that serves 33 General Practices in the Central London area. We support multiple Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and manage various NHS contracts, including specialized community services.

Our organization is the employer for a diverse and expanding team of healthcare professionals, including Clinical Pharmacists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, and more, all aimed at enhancing patient care.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Salaried General Practitioner to enhance our healthcare team due to service expansion. The GP will be integral in providing high-quality primary care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient wellness.

This role offers a hybrid working model, combining in-person consultations with remote working opportunities.

The GP will be part of the in-house clinical team, responsible for managing patient appointments and administrative tasks, including reviewing blood results and collaborating with remote GPs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our clinical team, you will ensure continuity of care for patients in critical situations. Your involvement in learning events, audits, and various projects will be essential. A commitment to understanding and improving practice systems, along with a willingness to learn new IT systems, will be highly valued.

Clinical Duties Include:

  1. Commitment to delivering high-quality, safe care that ensures continuity for patients.
  2. Participation in learning events, audits, and agreed-upon projects.
  3. Adherence to established working practices within the clinical team.
  4. Understanding your role in practice systems and reporting learning events.
  5. Engagement in learning new IT systems and innovations for patient care.
  6. Collaboration with colleagues to discuss cases and learn from experiences.
  7. Staying updated with new clinical guidelines.
  8. Time management to ensure efficiency.

Session Structure:

Sessions typically consist of clinical appointments, digital triage, or remote administrative work. Appointment durations are a minimum of 15 minutes, with double appointments available for complex cases.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Compliance with relevant practice policies and guidelines.
  • Commitment to ongoing audit and training.
  • Participation in training and events organized by the practice or external agencies.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • Essential: Experience in UK General Practice.
  • Desirable: 2+ years of clinical experience.

Knowledge:

  • Essential: Understanding of the NHS system and its challenges.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with QOF & Enhanced Services.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: GMC Registered, Qualified General Practitioner (MRCGP or equivalent).
  • Desirable: Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Skills:

  • Essential: Proficiency in IT, including remote consulting skills.
  • Desirable: Leadership capabilities.
