JOB PURPOSE: Deliver comprehensive Primary Medical Services (PMS) to the patient population. Ensure effective clinical management, administration, and audit processes. Actively participate as a collaborative member of the practice team and contribute to the overall management and growth of the practice.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute all responsibilities associated with the role of a General Practitioner as outlined in the GMS contract.
- Adhere to all objectives set forth in the GMS Contract.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of clinical procedures and protocols within the practice.
- Ensure accurate and prompt entry of patient information into the clinical system.
- Conduct clinical audits as necessary.
- Prepare reports for legal and insurance entities as required.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain the integrity of the patient-practice relationship.
- Actively engage in practice meetings and discussions.
- Assume leadership responsibilities in designated areas of practice management.
- Support the formulation and adherence to the Practice Health and Safety policy.
- Take on leadership roles in specified areas of clinical management.
- Participate in the GP appraisal program.
- Attend training sessions offered by the practice whenever feasible.
- Maintain medical knowledge in accordance with your Personal Development Plan.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the practice.
- Comply with the stipulations of the Partnership Agreement.
- Operate safely at all times, adhering to legislative requirements and practice policies and procedures.
