Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive medical services to our registered patient base.
  • Actively participate in the development and enhancement of practice operations.
  • Conduct home visits and engage in the duty doctor rotation.
  • Attend practice meetings, clinical discussions, and external engagements.
  • Assist with additional services as required.
  • Collaborate with external agencies as necessary.
  • Adhere to practice protocols for quality outcomes, prescribing incentives, and other enhanced services as mandated by relevant authorities.
  • Participate in extended hours on a rotational basis.
  • Evaluate personal performance and take responsibility for actions, whether independently or under supervision.
  • Conduct telephone consultations and triage calls.
  • Manage pathology and radiology results, clinical correspondence, and inquiries.
  • Prepare reports for benefit agencies, social services, and insurance as needed.
  • Engage in practice audits.
  • Generate and review prescriptions in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Draft referral letters for patients as required.
  • Provide coverage for colleagues during their absence.
  • Update and summarize patient records based on received correspondence.
  • Instruct and mentor students, GP Registrars, nurses, and other medical trainees as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of consultation rooms.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and effectively manage time and resources.
  • Exhibit professionalism in conduct and appearance.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues, staff, and patients.
  • Contribute to team effectiveness by reflecting on activities and suggesting improvements.
  • Prepare for and participate in regulatory visits.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • General Practitioner qualification.

Desirable:

  • MRCGP or equivalent.

Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a UK General Practice setting.

Desirable:

  • Experience as a GP Trainer.
