Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a patient caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered patients.
  • Undertake a variety of duties including face-to-face and telephone consultations, as well as a share of duty doctor cover, online consultations, and document management.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the diverse practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care while complying with the GMS contract and GMC standards for good medical practice.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of working in UK General Practice.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable groups and an understanding of how to report them.
  • Understanding of the NHS system and challenges facing the NHS.

Desirable

  • Experience of clinical audit delivery.
  • Experience of EMIS Web and AccuRx.
  • Understanding of GMS contracts, Enhanced Services, and QOF.
