JOB TITLE: General Practitioner
JOB PURPOSE: To deliver PMS services to the patient population effectively. Engage in clinical administration, auditing, and management tasks. Collaborate with the practice team as a valuable member and contribute to the operational and business development of the practice.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Execute all responsibilities associated with the role of a General Practitioner as outlined by the GMS contract.
  2. Adhere to all objectives set forth in the GMS Contract.
  3. Assist in the enhancement of clinical procedures and protocols within the practice.
  4. Ensure accurate and prompt entry of patient information into the clinical system.
  5. Conduct clinical audits as necessary.
  6. Prepare reports for solicitors, insurance entities, and other relevant parties.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  8. Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain the integrity of the patient-practice relationship.
  9. Actively participate in practice meetings and discussions.
  10. Assume Lead responsibilities in designated areas of practice management.
  11. Support the development and adherence to the Practice Health and Safety policy.
  12. Take on Lead responsibilities in specified areas of clinical management.
  13. Engage in the GP appraisal scheme.
  14. Attend training sessions organized by the practice whenever feasible.
  15. Maintain medical knowledge in accordance with your Personal Development Plan.
  16. Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the practice.
  17. Comply with the stipulations of the Partnership Agreement.
  18. Ensure safety in all activities, adhering to legislative requirements and practice policies and procedures.
