About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Manager to join our team at MKM Building Supplies. As the Category Manager for Plumbing and Heating, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Plumbing and Heating category across our branch network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales growth, improve profitability, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier relationships to secure favorable terms, rebates, and exclusive deals.
  • Monitor and analyze category performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with branches to understand local market demands and adjust the product offering as needed.
  • Develop and implement promotional strategies and campaigns to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in Plumbing and Heating.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop engaging product literature, promotional materials, and digital content.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in category management, ideally in the Plumbing and Heating sector or related industries.
  • Strong commercial sense with a history of delivering profitable growth.
  • Experience in supplier negotiation and relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting data to make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with ERP or procurement systems.
  • Results-driven with a proactive and flexible approach.
