Financial Operations Specialist.

  • Location – Maidstone
  • Salary - £25,000 - £30,000
  • Hybrid Working – 3 days in the office, 2 days at home.
  • Position Summary: We are pleased to present this role as a Financial Operations Specialist, to become a vital part of our dynamic organization based in Maidstone.
    Key Responsibilities: In the capacity of a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be instrumental in overseeing a portfolio of branches concerning credit management and financial processes. Your duties will encompass initiating refund requests to guarantee prompt reimbursements to clients, executing thorough credit management activities, and collaborating with the Broking division to oversee outstanding debts. Additionally, you will manage unallocated funds, assist clients with premium finance arrangements, and report essential performance metrics (KPIs) to senior management.
    • Initiating refund requests to ensure clients receive their funds within a specified timeframe.
    • Following up and collecting outstanding debts in accordance with company protocols.
    • Collaborating with the Broking division on debtor management.
    • Clearing aged entries from financial records to maintain debtors under 90 days.
    • Returning unallocated funds to the original sender in line with business timelines.
    • Reconciling unallocated cash transactions.
    • Facilitating premium finance arrangements for clients not set up for payment through the designated process.
    • Reporting on key performance indicators to management regarding debtor and premium finance metrics.
    • Coordinating with the Broking ledger control team for funding requests.
    • Assisting with client funds and statutory audits.
    • Completing daily client fund allocations to support insurer settlements.
    • Addressing internal and external inquiries.
  • Candidate Profile:
    • Proven experience in a comparable role is essential.
    • Background in the insurance sector is preferred.
    • Qualified or Part Qualified AAT is a plus.
    • Familiarity with Acturis (a software platform utilized in the insurance sector) is advantageous but not mandatory.
