Position Overview: Senior Practice Development Lead

Role Summary: The Senior Practice Development Lead will oversee initiatives related to quality assurance, workforce enhancement, and evaluative reviews within the Youth Service and Youth Justice Service, ensuring optimal service delivery standards for young individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive quality assurance framework.
  • Design, implement, and assess a quality assurance system that encompasses universal services, detached engagement, participatory programs, sports initiatives, targeted youth support, and youth justice.
  • Establish and apply a child-focused quality assurance framework and associated activities to guarantee consistently high standards in youth work delivery, fostering excellence across all services.
  • Develop and introduce thorough auditing tools based on guidelines from the National Youth Agency, along with practical toolkits for youth work professionals to utilize in their daily operations.
  • Evaluate existing pathways and processes to ensure alignment and consistency in youth work practices.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience working within a Youth Service environment in Local Authorities.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing a quality assurance framework.
  • Must possess a valid DBS check.
