About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Grants Officer to join our team at UK Youth. As a key member of our Grants team, you will play a critical role in supporting the distribution of grant funding to the youth sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grant Management: Support the Head of Grants to deliver our evolving grants provision to the youth sector, bringing together our work to ensure a streamlined offer.
  • Grant Making Process: Support the grant making process, including communications and outreach, application, selection, awarding, distribution, monitoring, and evaluation, working with relevant departments.
  • Process Development: Develop and maintain processes for creating application forms on the UK Youth Portal, informing applicants of decisions, and tracking grant disbursements.
  • Application Management: Manage applications for funding through CRM Dashboards and provide direct technical support to applicants.
  • Grant Distribution: Work to distribute our grant funding to a diversity of organisations across the UK, ensuring it is delivered to improve impact and engages diverse audiences.
  • Grant Funding Panels: Lead on delivering grant funding panels.
  • Grants Management System: Maintain a grants management system in line with GDPR and manage data.
  • Quality Assurance: Support the Head of Grants to ensure we are delivering the highest quality consistently.
  • Data Management: Work with colleagues to manage data collection and monitoring processes and ensure activities achieve intended outputs and outcomes on time and to budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and build strong relationships with strategic stakeholders, including awarded organisations, and manage the distribution of funding to grantees and ensure they complete required monitoring and reporting.
  • Reporting: Support the Head of Grants to report progress to internal and external stakeholders via meetings, written reports, and presentations.
  • Profile Raising: Support the Head of Grants to raise the profile of UK Youth as a credible grants distributor through engagement in funder networks.
  • Communication: Manage the UK Youth Grants inboxes, responding to all enquiries in a timely fashion.
Requirements
  • Grant Management Experience: Demonstrate grant management and distribution experience.
  • Quality Assurance: Experience of quality assurance.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitoring and evaluation experience and an understanding of the importance of data in decision making.
