Exciting Opportunity for a Safety Compliance Officer

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is a dynamic and growing civil engineering firm seeking a dedicated Safety Compliance Officer to enhance our team.

Role Overview:
As the Safety Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization and its workforce comply with safety regulations. Your responsibilities will encompass the development and execution of safety protocols, fostering a safety-oriented culture within the workplace, and conducting regular site evaluations to ensure adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and updating Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Conducting daily site inspections to verify compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Leading a small team of Safety Advisors
  • Evaluating work procedures to ensure alignment with industry safety benchmarks
  • Documenting and reporting incidents and safety violations
  • Keeping abreast of health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Overseeing the safe installation of equipment and managing subcontractors on a daily basis
  • Facilitating training sessions on health and safety awareness for internal staff

Qualifications:

  • A degree or certification in Health and Safety
  • NEBOSH certification in construction
  • IOSH or graduate IOSH membership
  • A valid UK driving license
  • Willingness to travel across the northern regions of the UK
