Head of Nursing, Therapies and Quality and Therapies Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Nursing, Therapies and Quality. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior nursing leader to lead and manage our nursing and quality services, ensuring that we provide high-quality patient care and services that meet the needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursing and quality services, ensuring that they are delivered to a high standard and meet the needs of our patients and community.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and services, working closely with our clinical teams and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that our nursing and quality services are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act.
- Provide clinical leadership to our multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge they need to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Work closely with our management team to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.
- Ensure that our nursing and quality services are evidence-based and that we are using the latest research and best practices to inform our decision-making.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with our stakeholders, including patients, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development of our organisational strategy, ensuring that our nursing and quality services are aligned with our overall goals and objectives.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent qualification and a Licence to Practise.
- MRCPsych or recognised equivalent, e.g. membership of a psychiatry college in another country.
- Experience of working in a senior nursing leadership role, preferably in a mental health setting.
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge, with the ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and services.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including the Mental Health Act and the Mental Capacity Act.
- Ability to develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and services, working closely with our clinical teams and other stakeholders.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Experience of working in a leadership role, preferably in a mental health setting.
- Ability to critically appraise published research and contribute to the development of our organisational strategy.
