About the Role

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team on Ward 14. This mixed-sex general medical ward specializes in diabetes and endocrine care, providing comprehensive treatment for complex and acute medical conditions.

We are committed to delivering high-quality patient care through a rehabilitation approach, working closely with therapy teams to promote mobility and independence. Our team is passionate about fostering a positive and supportive environment where patients feel valued and respected.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and safe nursing care to patients on Ward 14, adhering to the highest professional standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans, ensuring they are individualized and meet the specific needs of each patient.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration between healthcare professionals involved in patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.

About You

You will be a registered nurse with a proven track record of providing exceptional patient care. Your strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire others will be essential in this role.
