Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recovery-focused education programs for individuals with mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide training and education on mental health recovery.
  • Lead on projects that promote service change and improvement in mental health services.
  • Conduct clinical and managerial supervision to support the development of staff.
  • Work in partnership with other organizations to promote co-production and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or diploma in a professional practice area, such as occupational therapy, nursing, or social work.
  • Professional registration and membership of a professional body.
  • Post-qualifying experience in mental health, including teaching and training, and leading on recovery-focused projects.
  • Specialist knowledge of current best practice in recovery.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and kindness in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work in a team and value lived experience expertise alongside clinical expertise.
  • Commitment to quality of service and continuous improvement.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working in a recovery college or recovery education center.
  • Previous experience of working in partnership with other organizations and using principles of co-production.
