Job Overview

We are pleased to announce the recruitment of a permanent full-time Therapy Assistant to support the Older Persons Service (OPS) Therapy Team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Therapy team (Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapists, and Therapy Assistants) on Older Persons Medicine wards, supporting rehabilitation and preventing hospital-associated physical and cognitive deconditioning.
  • Support qualified staff with home visits and administrative duties such as equipment ordering and general organization.
  • Participate in weekend working and hold a valid UK driving license.
Requirements
  • Education to GCSE level
  • Basic skills: evidence of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Previous work with people where good communication skills were required
  • Interest in working with older adults
