We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our Older Persons Service team at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. As a key member of our therapy team, you will play a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation and recovery of older adults in our care.
The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced therapy team, including occupational therapists and physiotherapists, to provide high-quality care and support to patients. This will involve assisting with rehabilitation programs, conducting assessments, and providing administrative support as needed.
Main Responsibilities- Assist with rehabilitation programs for older adults, including exercises and activities to promote independence and mobility
- Conduct assessments and gather information to support therapy planning and delivery
- Provide administrative support, including equipment ordering and record-keeping
- Work collaboratively with the therapy team to achieve patient-centered goals and outcomes
- GCSE level education or equivalent
- Previous experience working with older adults, preferably in a hospital or care setting
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and ability to use a keyboard
- Valid UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes
