Adult Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our specialist Psychology Team working in Bournemouth. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide assessment, formulation, and treatment to adults with learning disabilities who have a range of psychological conditions.
Our team uses a variety of therapy specialties, including EMDR, CAT, ACT, and CBT, and is involved in exciting initiatives such as developing a new neuropsychology testing pack, capacity assessments, research, and more.
You will assist with supervision to assistant psychologists and doctoral trainee clinical psychologists, providing excellent clinical supervision and opportunities to develop professional skills.
We offer a comprehensive and supported Preceptorship Programme for newly qualified Clinical Psychologists, from Band 7 to Band 8a, to consolidate and develop core skills learned during clinical training.
Main Responsibilities- Provide assessment, formulation, and treatment to adults with learning disabilities.
- Assist with supervision to assistant psychologists and doctoral trainee clinical psychologists.
- Develop and implement therapy plans, using a range of therapy specialties.
- Contribute to the development of new initiatives, such as the neuropsychology testing pack.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide comprehensive care to adults with learning disabilities.
- Post-graduate doctorate in clinical psychology, accredited by the BPS or HCPC.
- Experience of clinical supervision for trainee and assistant clinical psychologists.
- Clinical experience with adults with learning disability diagnosis, particularly those in community placements.
- Experience of assessment and formulation in adults with an LD.
- Experience and formal training in at least 2 psychological therapies.
