Clinical Psychologist for Adults with Learning Disabilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our specialist Psychology Team in Bournemouth, working with adults with Learning Disabilities. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide assessment, formulation, and treatment to adults with learning disabilities who have a range of psychological conditions. We use a variety of therapy specialties, including EMDR, CAT, ACT, and CBT.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients. We are committed to providing excellent clinical supervision and opportunities for professional development. If you are newly qualified, we offer a comprehensive Preceptorship Programme to support your transition to a Band 8a role.
The role is diverse and allows opportunities to develop your own individual therapy skills, work on service development, and continue with your professional development. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of skilled professionals who are passionate about working with adults with Learning Disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment, formulation, and treatment to adults with learning disabilities
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and implement individual therapy plans
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide clinical supervision to assistant psychologists and doctoral trainee clinical psychologists
- Postgraduate doctorate in clinical psychology or equivalent
- Experience of clinical supervision for trainee and assistant clinical psychologists
- Knowledge of legislation and implications for clinical practice and professional management
- Membership of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
