Job Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist Specialist to join our Hyper Acute Major Trauma In-Reach Team based in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). The successful candidate will have experience and a specialist interest in neuro rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality goal-oriented rehabilitation to patients with complex rehabilitation needs.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of clinical neuropsychologists, dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation support workers.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans to ensure patients achieve their maximum functional potential.
  • Participate in service development and service change within the team.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's 4 pillars of practice while participating in CPD, audit, and research.
Requirements
  • Education to Diploma/Degree level in occupational therapy and registration with the HCPC.
  • Significant postgraduate experience with previous clinical experience in neuro rehabilitation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, proactive approach to service and professional development.
About the Team

The Hyper Acute Major Trauma Team is part of the adult West of Scotland Major Trauma Network. The team provides early intensive rehabilitation to patients with complex rehabilitation needs who are located within various departments across the QEUH site.
