About the Role

NHS Scotland is a leading healthcare provider seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance misuse and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions to individuals with substance misuse and mental health difficulties.
  • Function as an independent practitioner, demonstrating expertise and proficiency in client-centered practice.
  • Develop and maintain a clinical caseload, managing delegated activity and supervising junior staff.
  • Contribute to service development, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Proven experience in substance misuse and mental health services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
