About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Moving and Handling Specialist in an adult social care setting in Glasgow. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy service to clients in adult social care settings.
  • Work with clients to assess and address their moving and handling needs, including equipment and adaptation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews to ensure the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with a valid license to practice.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in adult social care or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of moving and handling principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
