About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Forensic Care team in NHS Scotland. As a Forensic Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health conditions and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to promote independence and rehabilitation.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support.
  • Develop and maintain evidence-based occupational therapy services, utilizing standardized assessments and interventions.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to enhance functional skills and promote community integration.
  • Participate in team activities, including risk assessment, audit, and research.
Requirements
  • Registered Occupational Therapist with a strong background in mental health and forensic care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, theories, and best practices.
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs and mental health conditions.
