About This Opportunity

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide clinical leadership, line management, and support with service development within our dedicated Children's Centre team.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute your expertise in a supportive, fast-paced learning environment. You will have the chance to work with a diverse caseload of children and young people presenting with a wide range of conditions across all age groups.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex and varied caseload of children and young people with disabilities and developmental problems, providing expert assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership to the Children's Centre OT team, including supervision and development of OT staff within a multidisciplinary context.
  • Take on a management responsibility for all OTs in your designated team, addressing conduct and performance issues in partnership with the Professional Head Occupational Therapist for Children and Young Peoples Occupational Therapy Services.
  • Contribute to shaping and improving local integrated systems of OT delivery, ensuring alignment with current health and social care policies and legislation.

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist with extensive clinical experience, proven leadership skills, and a passion for working with children. A strong understanding of current OT practice, relevant legislation, and integrated healthcare systems is essential.
