About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our client in Abergavenny. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and rewarding environment where you can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and support tailored to the individual needs of each child residing in the home.
  • Lead and mentor a team of support workers, ensuring all care is delivered to the highest standard.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans that promote the well-being and development of each child.
  • Cultivate a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all residents.
  • Collaborate closely with management and other professionals to ensure the holistic well-being of the children in your care.

Your Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a children's home setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, enabling effective teamwork and clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their unique needs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including sleep-ins, to ensure the continuous care and support of the children.
