Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the daily operations of the children's residence, ensuring the highest standards of care and adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Guide, mentor, and cultivate the staff team, fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for both employees and residents.
  • Supervise the execution and assessment of care plans, ensuring they are customized to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Serve as a role model for staff, advocating best practices in childcare and safeguarding.
  • Oversee the home in the absence of the Registered Manager, ensuring seamless care and support for the children.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, professionals, and families to enhance the welfare and development of the children.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce (CYP) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a children's home as a Senior or Assistant Manager.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of safeguarding and regulatory standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including sleep-ins.
