Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary:

Astute Technical is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at a new build Energy from Waste Power Station in Cheshire. As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all H&S activities on site, including inspections, audits, training, coordination, and reviewing/management of EHS documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the site's Health and Safety communications
  • Develop and manage the risk assessment/accident reporting system
  • Monitor the performance of the plant's Health and Safety program and identify opportunities to increase effectiveness
  • Provide H&S training for Operations and Maintenance staff

Requirements:

  • Strong background in Health and Safety gained in a heavy process or engineering environment
  • At least five years of experience in a Health and Safety Management position
  • NEBOSH certificate qualification is required as a minimum for this position

Personal Qualities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
